Wise Marion and I have just returned from 2.5 days conferencing in The Holiday Inn, Gatwick. We are both coaches for The Money Gym and it was our Internet Workshop, which I co-hosted.

Spring Sprouts

It seems like almost everyone you speak to these days is sprouting.  From (at least one of the Three Wise Women) to the osteopath they are all raving about their little seeds.

It really is the thought that counts, isn't it?  For my birthday last month Jake almost bought me an MP3 player but I ended up with something far more special - a set of paintbrushes!  And as he keeps telling people, "there was an eraser included too".

I knew I couldn't let him spend his savings on the IPod I do want so it meant a lot to me that he went shopping and using his imagination, found something that I could use in my latest hobby, painting water colours.

Books and magic

So at last I am back 'on-line' which is wonderful.  I was missing access to the internet alldue to the fact that someone has moved away (without my knowledge) from next door and my laptop no longer was picking up his signal.

Green Smoothies

Karen Knowler, the Raw Food Coach, has invited me to try Green Smoothies for breakfast.   As a juicer, I wondered what would be the benefits of switching.

Its too early to report findings, however, I can share with you a couple of recipes and my success to date and one early advantage I have discovered.

Pampering, or WellBeing?

I spent yesterday with a client who owns a beauty salon, and one salon with hairdressing combined.   They are fortunate enough to receive lots of magazines about spas, since they are in the business. My client's husband told me that his reading of the magazines tells him that we are moving away from pampering, towards wellbeing.

This seems like a good thing to me.

How Old Are Your Drinking Habits?

I was listening to Ryan Tubridy on the radio this morning.  He had a dozen or so 50 somethings in the studio to talk about the finer nuances of what life is like in your sixth decade.

Over the past few weeks he has been devoting a show to a particular decade, starting with the teens and he began the show today by remarking on the different requirements in the Green Room of each decade in terms of liquid refreshments.

A Picture Paints a Thousand Words

Even though I work from home and you'd think I'd be sick of these four walls, there is something wonderful about a wet Saturday afternoon and the prospect of a few hours at home indulging in some rest and relaxation.

I'm about to pull out my water colour paints and pad of thick creamy paper and get creative.  I've been putting off and putting off with all sorts of weak excuses but today's the day to get painting again.
